Celebrating Friends Volunteers!
This past weekend, the Friends Volunteer Brunch celebrated the amazing volunteers that keep Friends going!
As Elizabeth Andrew said, “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they have the heart.” And every day, you’ll find Friends volunteers showing their heart by staffing book’mark, sorting book donations, showing VPL some love online, examining an accounting excel sheet, and many other ways!
After a two-year break, it was exciting to recognize everyone at the annual Volunteer Brunch. Each year at brunch, a special volunteer is recognized as volunteer of the year. This year, that award goes to Mel for her dedication to order. Cheers to Mel for all you do! Two volunteers also reached some milestone anniversaries with Friends. Susan is celebrating 15 years and Lynn is celebrating 10 years. Book’mark wouldn’t be the same without you! Congratulations to all three!!
And to all the rest of the Friends volunteers, whether or not you could attend the brunch, THANK YOU for all you do for Friends and the VPL!
