BOOK SALES - ANNUAL
Our annual book sale is a successful fundraising event that takes place in October. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities.
Day of Sale - Help staff the sale in 3 hour shifts. Assist shoppers, maintenance of sale site and cashiering.
Pre sale - From late August - To sort donated books, by genre, by category, pricing and packing for storage. To identify books of special interest, collectables and coffee table books.
Set up/Break down. - To help set up the sale site. Usually on the Wednesday evening, prior to sale. To close the sale on Sunday afternoon/evening.
BOOK SALES - SIDEWALK SALES
Location - outside book’mark, The Library Store, a periodic event - to assist shoppers, cashier, and maintain the sale site.
DONE IN A DAY
Staffing the Friends information table at community events, and assisting library staff for special events such as birthdays, openings, and other library celebrations.
AUTHOR READINGS
You may chose a genre, please check the upcoming events on the VPL web site.
To facilitate the meeting, and introduce the author.
